The complete PowerUp account guide
Sign up in 3 minutes flat
The whole registration flow is browser-based and mobile-friendly. Here's the field order in the exact sequence we ask them:
- Email + password. Password needs a minimum of 8 characters and has to carry at least one number and one symbol. We reject the top-1,000 breached passwords automatically at submission.
- Full legal name + date of birth. Enter these exactly as they read on the ID you'll upload later for KYC. Age gating is 19+ across most provinces, 18+ in AB, MB and QC — and we cross-check against your provincial dropdown at step 3.
- Canadian address. Street, city, province (dropdown, all 10 provinces plus 3 territories) and postal code in the standard A1A 1A1 format. Our form validates the postal format inline.
- Phone number (+1). We fire a 6-digit SMS verification code to confirm the number. It lands within a minute; if it stalls, request a resend or drop to voice call.
- Accept Terms, Privacy Policy and Responsible Gambling disclosure. The RG tickbox confirms you've read our deposit-limit and self-exclusion tools.
- Optional: opt in to our welcome bonus (200% up to C$1,500 + 150 free spins). Feel free to skip and grab it later from the promotions page — we don't pin the offer exclusively to the sign-up screen.
Once you submit, we fire a confirmation email. Click the link and you can deposit and play immediately with a verified email. KYC comes later, only when you hit withdraw.
KYC verification and the Canadian setup
We hold KYC (Know Your Customer) back until your first withdrawal request. That's standard AML practice across licensed operators and gives us a documented trail of who owns the account. In Canada, KYC runs on provincial ID rather than the SIN — we never request your Social Insurance Number, and any operator that does is stepping outside standard practice.
Required documents (all three):
- Government-issued photo ID — Canadian passport, provincial driver's licence, provincial ID card, or PR card. Front and back where applicable, both legible and uncropped.
- Proof of address, dated within the last 3 months — utility bill (Hydro One, Ontario/BC/Manitoba Hydro), bank statement (RBC, TD, Scotiabank, BMO, CIBC, Desjardins), Rogers/Bell/Telus phone bill, or provincial income statement. Address has to match your registered address.
- Selfie holding your ID — or a live video capture via Onfido/Jumio if we ask for enhanced verification. Face and document have to be visible in the same shot.
For deposits north of C$5,000/month, we also ask for source-of-funds documentation: a recent payslip, CRA tax return or an investment statement. That's a FINTRAC-aligned requirement — transactions of C$10,000 or more additionally trigger our automatic FINTRAC reporting, which runs in the background and doesn't stall your withdrawal.
Upload everything from Account → Verification. We accept JPG, PNG and PDF up to 8 MB per file. Automated Onfido/Jumio checks clear inside 24 business hours; if a doc needs a second look, our manual review adds a further 24 hours. If a file is illegible or expired, we ping you asking for that one document — we don't restart the whole process.

Day-to-day sign-in flow
Once the initial email confirmation is done, day-to-day login runs fast:
- Tap Log in in the header on any page.
- Enter your registered email (or username, if you set one at onboarding) plus your password.
- If you switched 2FA on, our system asks for the second factor — a 6-digit code from your authenticator app, an SMS/email OTP, or a biometric confirmation from the PWA.
- Your dashboard loads with C$ balance, active bonus progress, deposit history and a shortcut into the lobby.
On the PWA (Progressive Web App, installed via Add to Home Screen) you can enable Face ID or fingerprint sign-in and skip typing the password altogether. Biometric access lives on your device only — the biometric never touches our servers.
Common login snags and fixes
- Forgot password. Hit "Forgot password?" on the login screen. A reset link lands in your registered email and stays valid for 1 hour. Set a fresh password meeting our 8+ / number / symbol rule.
- Account locked after 5 failed attempts. We fire a 15-minute cooldown to kill brute-force attacks. Wait it out, or use the password-reset flow to unlock immediately with a fresh password.
- 2FA lost device and no backup codes. Message our support from your registered email. We ask for a fresh KYC re-verification (a live selfie plus a photo of the same ID we hold on file) and reset the 2FA seed inside one business day.
- Multiple browser tabs conflict. Our single-active-session policy signs out older tabs when a new one loads. Keep it to one active tab to avoid mid-spin logouts.
- Session timeout mid-play. After 30 minutes of inactivity (60 minutes on VIP tiers) we sign you out for security. Active spins, live bets and payment steps reset the clock.
- Confirmation email not arriving. Check spam and promotions folders. If nothing surfaces after 5 minutes, request a resend from the login screen or ping support — we can re-fire it manually.
Session security and multi-device policy
Every sign-in with us is logged by device fingerprint and IP. You can browse the list from Account → Security → Active sessions and hit the one-click "Log out all devices" button if anything looks unfamiliar. Changing your password automatically forces a logout on every other session — the new device where you set the password stays live.
We enforce a single active session policy — one live session per account at a time. Sign in on a new device and the previous session gets asked to re-authenticate. That's deliberate: it kills shared-credential parallel use and means an attacker who lifts a session token can't quietly ride it alongside your own.
Session timeout is 30 minutes of inactivity (60 minutes on our VIP tiers, because live-table sessions tend to stretch longer). Biometric access on the PWA (Face ID/fingerprint) is bound to the app install — uninstall the PWA and bio-lock disables automatically, and you re-enable after re-installing.
